Teaching for Artistic Behaviors Worshop - St. Louis, MO - June 8 & 9, 2023

Our presenters have 30+ years of combined experience implementing TAB at all grade levels. These gifted educators are thrilled to share their knowledge with colleagues. Join the conversation, and get plugged into area resources and regional support for choice-based art.
Art Teachers love the creative power TAB/Choice has brought to their classrooms! This student-centered approach to teaching visual arts changes how teachers, students, and administrators approach the art studio. Come spend 2 days learning about TAB/Choice.
After the workshop, teachers will be able to:
Implement the TAB/Choice pedagogy
Design a student-centered classroom space and curriculum
Develop mini-lessons to inspire students and facilitate creative thinking
Integrate technology into the art studio, including social media for advocacy
Advocate for the pedagogy to their stakeholders
Build a network of resources to begin TAB/Choice implementation in their classroom
Plan to attend this outstanding workshop, featuring St. Louis area teachers trained in the pedagogy of Teaching for Artistic Behaviors also known as TAB.
WORKSHOP FEES

includes two days of instruction, invitations to FREE follow-up strategy and coaching sessions, plus participant lunch on 6/8-9/23
Meet new friends, collaborate and build together as you cultivate your skills in the Teaching for Artistic Behavior (TAB) pedagogy. This two-day, action-packed (in-person) workshop sponsored by MAAE is designed to help teachers gain tools to implement a choice-based art curriculum. The workshop will be held at two St. Louis area schools allowing participants to experience the classroom arts space, and for student interaction.

Graduate Credit from Lindenwood University is available for an additional fee. Enrollment and payment of fees is handled directly through Lindenwood. The fee for graduate credit is $75 per hour.

Helpful Hints
*The workshop ends at 3:45pm both days to allow space for questions and casual conversation, off-site. Details will be included in the daily agenda. Please consider joining us for appetizers, a trip to the art museum, or other nearby TAB classroom tours.
What to wear? Comfy clothes - casual
What to bring? Many participants find that having a laptop and phone are helpful.
