tap to learn more

Since 1994, the Missouri Alliance for Arts Education has been working to support,  promote and advocate for high-quality education in all the arts (music, visual arts, dance, theater) in Missouri schools.  One of our ongoing tasks is the education of elected leaders and state officials about the value and importance of school and community arts programs. In 2004, MAAE began sponsoring an annual celebration of arts education with Fine Arts Education Day. The program expanded in 2014 to include student advocacy training and now extends throughout the week.

Fine Arts Education Week now incorporates recognition of student artists whose work was selected to represent each Senate district, Youth Art Month, advocacy training for students and teachers, awards and recognition of  excellence in arts education and arts champions, student performances, exhibits, rallies, meetings with individual elected officials, student-led advocacy events and the Celebration Summit Gala, thanking volunteers, donors and active allies. Fine Arts Education Week activities develop student leadership skills, strenthens relationships within Missouri's creative arts sector, unites educators, students and state leaders, and raises awareness about the benefits of an arts education, and the need for high quality arts educational experiences throughout our great state which contribute to student success, and economic prosperity

As a Foundation Sponsor your $10,000 donation would help defray the majority of the estimated $11,000 in overall event costs. Benefits include verbal recognition, event signage, your name and logo in our program, and an acknowledgement on MAAE's website.

Gala Entertainment Co-Sponsor - celebrating lifelong engagement with the arts

Imagine Missouri’s arts businesses uniting to support this important work. For 2025 we envision the evening’s musical entertainment being jointly sponsored by a number of vendors. Not only will this allow participants in the Celebration Summit Gala and the Show-Me Arts Student Summit the chance to enjoy the music of a professional jazz trio led by the state's premier jazz pianist, Ken Kehner, it also underscores the idea that we are stronger as we all work together. Imagine the impact when decision-makers learn that businesses who sometimes view their colleagues as competitors, are united in their support for helping all Missouri students access a robust arts education, with all the sponsor logos on the same display banner, and all sponsors being thanked and recognized. With a $150 tax-deductible donation, you can become a part of the team that brings this vision into reality.
