IntegratED ARTS Education Program

The KS/MO Partners in Education Team is a unique relationship linking two non-profit organizations and two public school districts in the Kansas City region, involved in concentrated work in arts integration. In Kansas, the Shawnee Mission School District, Johnson County Community College work collaboratively with Missouri's Liberty Public Schools and ArtsKC. The groups has been involved in research linking an arts integration approach to learning and improved academic achievement. This article is a compilation of the findings through 2019. Although it was interrupted by the global pandemic, the research and work to continue the program is ongoing.
