A message from Scholarship Recipient - Anna Boehm
"Thank you to the Missouri Alliance for Arts Education in awarding me the Fauman Dance Education Scholarship. This opportunity has allowed me to invest in resources which further my contemporary dance training in order to grow my technique as an artist, and my knowledge as a dancer. I am using this scholarship to fund a subscription to Ground Grooves Tv, an online platform with educational videos and classes pertaining to safe floorwork practices. This is a resource I will use while undertaking my residency at Charlotte Street Foundation, in order to grow my practice, and in turn, will be able to share with other artists and students through teaching."

"I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity to continue my education through the Jacob's Pillow CIM Institute. This grant allows me to travel to present my work at the historic festival and receive my certification in The Pillow's community dance education methods, and bring these new skills back to my hometown of St. Louis to share with the community."

"Receiving the Fauman Scholarship allowed me the opportunity to pursue professional development certifications from Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT). By earning this certification, I have been able to implement new ideas and exercises into my work as a dance educator at the Center of Creative Arts (COCA) both in teaching private lessons and conditioning classes for dancers in the Pre-Professional Division at COCA. The Fauman Scholarship made it financially feasible to pursue opportunities that have otherwise been stuck on my "to-do" list because of budget constraints. Thank you to the Missouri Dance Organization and now Missouri Alliance for Arts Education for making this scholarship for dance educators a priority! Please let me know if you need anything else from me! Thank you again for this opportunity."

"I used this scholarship to help pay my tuition at the St. Louis Dance Theater. This scholarship allowed me to have the opportunity to enhance my technique, grow in artistic expression, learn more about what it means to be a professional dance artist, get involved with the community through various performances and learn from artists with different approaches to movement. I have learned so much about myself as a person and as an artist from this program. This scholarship helped with the financial aspect of being in a rigorous program."
A message from Scholarship Recipient - Logann Guerra
"This grant allowed me to participate in St. Louis Dance Theatre’s trainee program for the 2024–2025 season. Throughout the program, I received training in multiple dance styles and had the opportunity to perform in three main stage productions, as well as two additional productions alongside the main company. This year, I have grown exponentially as a dancer thanks to the support and guidance of St. Louis Dance Theatre. None of this would have been possible without the Faumann Scholarship."
