During Fine Arts Education Day the Missouri State Capitol comes alive with:
Vocal and instrumental ensemble performances
Dance and acrobatic groups
Theatrical presentations
Fine art exhibits
Fine Arts Education Day Performance Opportunities 2027
There are limited performance opportunities for performances in the Capitol Rotunda. Noon - 1:00 pm only
Additional performances will take place, weather permitting, on the South Steps and in the Governor’s Garden. 1:00–3:00 PM.
(An alternate indoor space is will be secured in case of inclement weather.)
Performance Applications Open Fall 2026
SUBMIT YOUR VIDEOS of the following:
Individual student or small ensemble; less than 5 minutes in length
Large ensemble and performing groups; 5 to 8 minutes in length
Lighting designs, costume design, set design, etc. (video or photo slideshow video); 1 to 3 minutes in length
Teacher/Learning Activities (video or photo slideshow video); 1 to 3 minutes in length
Videos should be submitted in mp4 format. All videos should include a banner at the bottom with details on the performance (work performed, performers, school, date of recording, etc).
