Student Video Contest

MAAE Student Video Contest

The Missouri Alliance for Arts Education (MAAE) is looking for future filmmakers, media moguls or roving TV reporters to enter a student video contest highlighting the importance of arts education in Missouri schools. The MAAE is dedicated to showing why it is important to have fine arts instruction in every school, for every child, every day. We draw attention to the creative skills the arts develop in students of all ages and backgrounds. Now students can join in the Alliance's advocacy mission and display, through video, why the arts are a vital part of education at every level.

The top prize of $100, to be used for classroom supplies, will be awarded to the sponsoring teacher who submits a winning student video. The winner(s) will be acknowledged at Fine Arts Education Day at the State Capitol in March. The Missouri Alliance for Arts Education has sponsored a Fine Arts Education Day at the Missouri State Capitol since 2004.

Suggested formats include public service announcements, news stories or music videos. Videos can range from 30 seconds to two minutes in length. Copyrighted material must be attributed in the video. The submission deadline is January 31st. Videos may be initially submitted in the form of a YouTube link.
