Working to build positive relationships with Missouri Senators, MAAE collaborates with MAEA in sponsoring the annual Senate Student Fine Arts Exhibit Project. With dedicated leadership from Chair Vicki Bean, this program is one of the most effective relationship-building pieces of arts education advocacy work in which we currently engage.

NOW K-12 Arts Education Data Project interactive data dashboard which shares enrollment data for Missouri students involved in K-12 fine arts classes. This collaboration between MAAE, Missouri Arts Council and DESE along with Quadrant Research is welcome news to help monitor access to fine arts education. Check it out!

MAAE’s Dance Education Committee needs YOU!
With the dissolution of the Missouri Dance Organization, MAAE has formed a Dance Education Committee to ensure Dance Education still has a seat at the arts education table. The Committee will meet ONE TIME ANNUALLY to elect a representative to the MAAE Board and Executive Committee, and will help guide MAAE in its efforts to support Dance in Missouri. Also – Please encourage others to join this committee. FREE!

Seeking School Partners for customized on-site professional learning in arts integration, through MAAE’s Arts Centered Education (ACE) Program at no cost to the school. ACE teaching artists work with teachers in any subject and at any grade level; either the whole school or a smaller cadre of educators. Help us get connected to schools near you!

Become involved in Fine Arts Education Week 2025- April 7-11, 2025
Participate in our state advocacy day 4/9 - FINE ARTS EDUCATION DAY - in cooperation with MMEA - either virtually (submit a video) or in person. Submit videos and applications to perform by 2/15.
Leverage the power of your student's voice and participate in our student arts advocacy training 4/8 - SHOW ME ARTS SUMMIT.
Attend the Celebration Summit Gala 4/8 in Jefferson City - Capitol Plaza Hotel.
Volunteers needed - Tues. Wed. Thurs - Setup, Cleanup, Registration, Pizza Lunch, Photo Crew, A/V Support, People movers and more - - email faed@moaae.org to help the events run smoothly and advocate for arts education in Missouri.
